PERSONAL.
Mr G. E. Allen has been elected _ president of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society. Miss Rosina Btickman, the New Zealand prime, donna, and her husband, Mr Maurice D’Oislv, were cordially welcomed at the Town‘Hail, Wellington, last night. Mr G. C. Keeble lias been elected to the general committee of tbo Manawatu and West Coast Association, in succession to Mr A. Conway, who lias been elevated to the vice-presidency. The late Air Edward Kellett, member for Dunedin North, entered Parliament for the first time at tho last general election. For some years he was president ol tho Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners, afterwards becoming organising secretary for that, organisation. Deceased eat lor two years on the Dunedin Cily Council, and was also a member of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board, During the war he served as a member of the Otago and Southland Military Service Board, and afterwards did good work as a member of ;he Dunedin District Repatriation Board. Mr Kellett took an active part in the work of friendly societies, and held oHico in the United Ancient Order of Druids. 11 q was latterly in business us a builder and contractor.
