SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.

The Empire Hall was prettily decorated lan night on the occasion of the High School Old Boys' dai.ee. the club colours, black and white, being hung in streamers across the hall. The function, which was a huge success, was largely attended by old pupils of the Palmerston North High School and their friends and all spent a most enjoyable evening. The chaperones were Mescalines Faire, Fuller, Mom ad. Murray, Palmer. Penny, Trask and Miss \\ison, and tho M.C. was Mr J. B. Barnard, who was assisted in his duties by other members of the club. The whole arrangements reflected great credit on tho committee of the club.
