ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

• EXECUTIVE MEETING. The executive of the Manawatu Football Association met last night, Mr J. Grant presiding. It was decided to write to the New Zealand Association asking whether it desired Manawatu to submit names of players, with the object of being selected for inclusion in either the North Island or the test teams. A letter was received from the New Zealand Association to tho effect that the Manawatu executive's challenge for the Brown Shield had been accepted and would be referred to the Auckland Football Association, tho holders. The receipt of £76 was acknowledged as Manawatu's guarantee for the Australian team's match. The secretary was authorised to write to Auckland SUg"gesting that July 17 be a convenient date for the match for the Brown Shield. It was agreed that the selector (Mr Mouaf) choose A and B teams to play a match on June 3. Tho Manawatu Rugby Union wrote agreeing to allow the executive the use of the Showgrounds on July 12. The New Zealand Association wrote forwarding instructions and information in connection with the Australian tour. The following fixtures were made for Saturday:—Seniors: Rangers v. St. Andrew's, Lancaster Park (Mr Parker); Y.M.C.A. v. Dawbers, North Street. Park (Rev. Duncumb); R.S.A., a bye. All senior matches to start at 2.45 p.m. sharp. Juniors: Crusaders B v. Rangers B, Lancaster Park (Mr J. C. Young): Rangers B v. Scouts, Lancaster Park (Mr Crouch): Crusaders A v. Y.M.C.A., North Street Park (Mr Paterson). Junior games Do be commenced at 1.30 p.m.
