Messrs R. 1). Knight and J. Knight were, at to-day's meeting of the committee of the Mauaw'aiu and West Coast A. and I'. Association, appointed local delegates to the annual conference of the New Zealand Clydesdale Horse Association, to be held ai Dunedin on May 31st, Mr Edward Kellett, member for Dunedin North, who has been ailing for some mouths, and who underwent a serious operation for an internal complaint six weeks ago, died at Dunedin last night, aged 57 years, lie is survived by a widow and family of six, the youngest of whom is live years of age. Twenty resignations were accepted at to-day's meeting of the committee.
