SCHOONER IN HURRICANE.

(Per Tress Association.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 30. The schooner Malahat from Newcastle, bound for the Hawaiian Islands. put in hero disabled. She encountered a hurricane on January 22 and lost her jib and mizzen foresail, which were split to ribbons. Next day the _ rudder broke while the vessel was rolling in a heavy swell.
