MISSING BICYCLE RECOVERED. In the Magistrate's Court this afternoon, a young Hindoo named Natha Andrews appeared before Mr J, L. Stout, S.M., in answer to alternative charges of having stolon, or converted to his, own use, a bicycle valued at. £ls, the property 'of J. C. T. Salmon. THREE MONTHS FOR THEFT. Charles Richard Neave Coutts pleaded guilty to having stolon a suit case and contents, valued at £l3, the property of Scobie Ryan. Tic also admitted having wilfully damaged a police cell. Senior-Sergeant Fraser stated that the man had stolen the property, from an hotel ?<t .Shannon,, and had been caught making off wit ii it. When locked up he had inflicted damage to-the extent of 30s to the cell, by breaking an article of furniture and chipping; 1 pieces of wood out of the door. Accused was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour on the major offence. A conviction was entered in tho latter.
