FOOTBALL.

NEXT WEDNESDAY'S MATCH. A considerable amount of interest is being evinced in the match to be played at Palmcrston North next Wednesday afternoon between the All Black team that is to tour Australia and a fifteen selected from Manawatu. Horowheniia, and Wanganui. The New Zealand team is expected to be a very fine side, but the local men should be able to put a team in the field that will give the visitors a good tussle, ft is seldom i hat the residents of provincial towns are given an opportunity of seeing a New Zealand fifteen play, anil for that reason, and in anticipation of a well contested game, it is expected there will be a record attendance on the Showground on Wednesday next. The big match will commence at 2.45 p.m., and will be preceded by a curtain raiser at one o'clock between teams from the firms of Messrs Barnaul and Abraham and Messrs Abraham and Willia.ms.
