SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
A higly 'successful social and concert was held lasi night in Sk David’s (Presbyterian) Church, Terrace End. The proceeds are to bo devoted to the piano fund, and as the chnreh room was packed to (he doors, a considerable sum was the result. An excellent programme of vocal and elocutionary items was submitted, the following contributing Pianoforte solo, Miss Buchanan: musical monologue, Mrs Davidson; pianoforte duet, Misses Murray and Burns; songs, Rev. .7. 11. Bovd, Miss s Paget, Murray, Bennett. Burns, Arbnckle. Hodges, Mrs Kennedy and Mr s Hoskings, and Messrs Alexander and Iloir-ton; duet. Misses Bennett and Rumble. Several items wore also rendered by the choir.
