MANAWATU v. HOROWHENUA. The return match: between tlie Monawatu and Horowhonua representative teams will ho played on [the Showgrounds tomorrow, and a keep game is anticipated. The Manawatu team lias been considerably strengthened in both the buck and forward lines, and comprises such players as Wilks (five-eighths), Campbell (wing forward), a lid I,coder 1 (wing three-quarter). On the whole, the 'forwards arc a hefty lot and should take ('a lot of slopping. In connection with the'clltfnges in the forwards, Churchcr’s sci-Vicos arc not avail able, and bis place will be taken by Shoeban. The following team has been chosen to represent Hoiowhoiipu ; —Full back, Clarke ; three-quarters, McDonald, W. Marshall, K. Winiata; five-eighths, R Ford, R. Me Donald; half. J. Utiku; wing forward. Stratford; forwards! R. George, .7. Burrows, C. Moynihan, : W. Winiata, R. Broughton, K. Dal/oll.and 1). Wilson; emergen cies: backs. T. Moynihan and T. Winiata; forwards, Sands, K. Makaraia and W. Hatana. ( Preceding the big game, the Manawatu juniors will meet the Wanganui juniors, so the football public can look forward to seeing a good afternoon’s football. The Manawatu Rugby Union lias received a communication from the \\ ollington Union asking that the Wellington juniors play a local junior team on August 4. The combined team to represent Manawatu, Horowlicnua and Wanganui against the All Blacks will bo chosen to-morrow.
