NOTICE OF MOTION OF CENSURE
MELBOURNE, July 8. In the. House of Representatives Mr Tudor gave notice of motion of censure on the Government in view of its general incapacity, particularly hs failure to prevent the rise in the cost of living, to keep its pledges to returned soldiers, and to take steps to deal with causes of industrial unMr Hughes announced that he proposed to introduce a Bill this session providing for a convention to deal with constitutional amendments in the House. Sir Joseph Cook, replying to a question whether some firms were cashing soldiers gratuity bonds, provided they spent 30 per cent, in goods, said that a great deal of unfair trafficking in bonds existed, which the Treasury was trying to stop.
