CINEMA IN CHURCH.

The first cinema service held in an English church took place on Good Friday evening at Saint Bartholomew’s, Birmingham (says the Weekly Scotsman). After the ordinary church service and concluded the screen was lowered across the chancel in front of the altar, a white beam of light pierced the darkness, and the cinema show began. At the commencement two notices were, displayed.
