IRISH UNREST.
APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT.
LONDON, June 17. A conference of Irish .delegates and the National Union of Railwaymen passed a resolution that the present murders and outrages were inevitable as the result of tho Government's policy in notgoycrning Ireland in accordance with the. Wishes of the people. The resolution adds': "We condemn outrages by all parties and appeal to the Irish people to protect human life and property. We appeal to the Government to prevent provocation by sending munitions to Ireland." The resolution asks Mr Lloyd George to receive an Irish deputation tomorrow which may make proposals enabling a solution to be reached.—(A. and N.Z. cable).
