ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
An accident, in which a, drover named Fred Hollis, of TV Karaka (Gisborne), had ji miraculous cscjipo, occurred on tin* kaiterutahi Mill one day last, week. The horse he was riding began to buck violently at a clog, (’mail v going over a bank 50 feel down where both horse and rider were stopped hv a fence. The horse begun <> struggle wildly, with Mr Hollis underneath. Two men went, immediately to the sc iv and found il necessary to cut away pail o the fence before Mr llollis could be exploited. Ho was injured about the face and body, and it was necessary to put severa stitches in his face. It is not exj faded that his other injuries will prove serious.
