An interesting legal point was raisei in the Magistrate's Court upon an up plication on behalf of a judgment eredi tor for an order attaching money lying to the judgment debtor's eredi in the Cost (Hiiro Savings' Hank. .Conn sel sail! thai an interlocutory order hat been served upon the postal authorities but it was returned with a denial of tin power oi the Magistrate's Court bi make an order against the Departmen on the ground thai money deposited ii the Post Office Savings Hank was tin property of the Crown, and thercion the Magistrate's Court had not juris diction to make an order. The Crow; was not represented, and Mr Bailey S M., who reserved his decision, expressed the opinion that if the law proved to he that such moneys could not be attached, it should lie remedied. as it was extremely unfair that a debtor should be able to evade hieieditors by locking up money in the Post Office Savings Bank.
