CLEAR OUT THE SHELLS.
PRIME MINISTER AT WOOLWICH. LONDON, Nov. 29. .Tlio Prime Minister (Mr Lloyd George) told a, private deputation of Woolwich workers: “Wo shan’t want puns or shells for another century.” lie added that the arsenal must concentrate on locomotives and railway Cars. Britain's dependencies were able to supply sufficient orders for at least five years. The deputation pointed out that the arsenal was still crowded with war material. Mr Lloyd George replied: “ Clear out the shells and place them in the fields.” In the meantime the works are taking smaller contracts, including tho construction of telephones and tables.
