FROZEN MEAT RELEASED, BY LOYAL WORKERS. ]. Per Frees Association. ' AUCKLAND, Nov, 19. Another development has occurred in connection with the butchers’ strike, as the result of the cessation of work by the .slaughtermen. Instructions were given for the,, release of frozen-meat at Southdown to supply the future needs of the city. This meat is the property of the Imperial Government, hoi there are standing instructions that itmay he drawn upon if required for local needs. The freezing chamber hands, however. declined to shift the meat for the Auckland market, and quitted the premises. This difficulty was overcome by the clerks and departmental heads undertaking to 1 1 ift the meat into the trucks, and no difficulty is expected in obtaining supplies from this source.
