THE EGYPTIAN STRIKES.
STERNER MEASURES ADOPTED,
Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. Received April 23, 1.15 p.m. CAIRO, April 15. The public services continue paralysed owing to the strike, which is spreading. There are indications that the patience of the authorities has been exhausted and sterner measures will be _ taken. The flogging of some of the chief leaders of the riots has been ordered. LEADERS COURT-MARTIALLED. -
Australian-New Zealand Cable Asaociatioa Received April 23, 2.30 p.m, CAIRO, April 18. Some'of the leaders of the riots have been court-martialled and sentenced to terms of three to fifteen years. ANNIVERSARY OF ANZAC. , Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. Received April 23, 2.30 p.m. LONDON. April 18., A feature of Anzac. Day will bo a pilgrimage to the graves of Australian and New Zca'and soldiers in the United Kingdom. The organisers hope to place flowers on every grave.
