Additional scores: —Gray 215, McEwin 17, Howell (not out) 9, Mcßeth 0; extras, 14. Smith took six wickets for 9 runs, Croats three for 63. At the luncheon adjournment Auckland had two wickets down for 93—Horspool 11, Ilemus (not out) 36, Smith 6, Midlano 6, Sloman (not out) 20; extras 19.
