TWO CHILDREN DROWNED.
SAD ACCIDENT AT WANGANUI. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI. Feb. 22. Three children, Dennis Fisher, Noel and Mildred Crawford, were playing tn the river bank at midday, when the boy Crawford fell in. Dennis Fisner attempted his recovery and Mildred Crawford also went to his assistance, but was; unsuccessful, and the two Crawford children were drowned. The boy Fisher managed to clutch a willow branch, whence I'e was rescued by another child. The bodies have not boon recovered. The eldest child was ten years of age.
