■ Additional business ns follows was transacted’ at Wednesday’s meeting of the Education Board: £Vml Crock.—Committee to be informed that removal of building would be proceeded with if committee will arrange cartage. Education Department approved of removal of Moutoa school to central, site, instead of-building school at Marotiri, The Education Department authorised Hid Board to acquire kind for a school at Baiiiesse under the Public Works Act, and instructions were issued accordingly. The Department increased the fund for maintenance of school buildings by nearly £IOOO this year, owing to the increased cost of material. It was decided to ask the Auckland Education Board to allow the Wanganui inn ant Inspector to deal with the Taumarunui schools. Increases in pay recommended by Hie foreman of works was agreed to. Messrs I). H. Braik and J. H, Bree, of the oflice stall, who had been cm military duty, notified resumption ot their positions. The Ohaktnie Committee forwarded a flattering account ot the work of the headteacher, Mr H. W. Warden. The scc-ietary notified that, the Miss Alexander bequest ol £2OOO, upon which subsidy of £SOC " ill bo paid, for scholarships at the Technical College, has been received, and , instructions were given for its investment. A vote of thanks was passed to the Bedding Borough Council lor donation for technical education. Tho net credit balance at the bank was £785
