Present: The Mavor, Counoillor s Spencer, Fargher, Carter, Hook, Gunning, and Richardson. , ... ~, Letter received from the Valuer-Uen-bral, stating that if the valuation Shan. non'required was on the unimproved value, he did not think there in any urgency in the. matter, but if the Council desired that the capital value or the borough be revised, by'the, addition to the existing values o buildings, a. valuation would bo put in hand and completed by the district valuer for the rating vear i9lB-1919-.lt was decided to inform 'the Valuer-General that it was the capital valuation required. The rest of the ovemng was spent considering the by-laws. A cablegram ban been received from Serg-t. Hemmingspn, that he expects to be home for Christmas.
