N. I. POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY ASSOCIATION.
A mooting of tlio Council of (lie North Inland Poultry. Pigeon, and Canary Association was held in the A. and J'. Association's •ommittce rooms on Wednesday evening, November 1-i. Ihe president, Air ■). J arris, presided, and the following delegates were present:, iles.-rs W. J. Alawkes (New I’lymonth Winter Show), C. F. Purton (11 auera Winter Show), A. R. Anderson (MaruiWiiiu Poultry Association), W. Inkpen (Auckland (..'age Bird t luh), R. W. AJnnro (Dominion Canary Spuria list s’ Club), C. Robert (limnly I’, and 1). Chib), JO. Cridillis (Hastings J*. I’. and Canary Society), W. A. Veen (Whangarci Poultry and Produce Society), A. K. Drane. (Auckland Poultry Association), T. llrucc (Ohakunn A. and P. Association), and J. 11. Cooper, lion, .secretary (Wairoa P. and 1). Society). Apologies were received from Messrs W. Cullen (Waikato Winter Show) am) JO. Mansford (Gisborne. Show). The president’s and secretary’s action in granting the Poverty Bay A. and i‘. Association a license was endorsed. A complaint from the Hastings Society, on behalf of one of its members, in reference to the 10 til it y Cup won at 'the Waipawa Show, had been amicably settled by Hie latter society. Tin- Waipawa. Society made application for a Wednesday in June for their annual show. The application was noted to be dealt with when show dates are arranged. The names of Messrs J. Rider (Gisborne) and H. Hunt (Christchurch) were placed on lid. of canary judges by request of the Dominion Canan Specialists Club, Wellington. The sub committee appointed for the year comprises the following: J. Jarvis (president). J. Cunninghaine (vice-president), W. J. Alaukes (lion, treasurer), J. H. Cooper (lion, secretary), ami W. Cullen. Rhode island Reds. Pigeons: 27, Working Homers; 28, Dragoons; 29, .Maggies; 30. Tumblers. Canaries r 31. Yorkshires; 32. Norwich, plain heads; 33. Norwich, crest or crest brill; 34, Yorkshire, colour led; 35, Norwich, colour fed. The recommendation ol the annual meet ing to ballot, for all championships lor poiiltry was adopted. . . f ’I he list of judges as per the association s judges’ register was approved. Copies will bi< supplied to all afilliatod societies and chibs. . , In reference to a utility poultry standard for New Zealand, ii was decided to set up a committee consisting of the presidents of the. North and South Island Associations, the president of (lie N.Z. Utility Poultry Chib, the Government poultry experts, with seven other leading utility poultry experts from all over New Zealand with power to add to the number ot gentlemen selected. . \ vote of thanks was. passed to the coair and the meeting terminated.
