The election of two representatives for the county on the Palmerston North Hospi. ta.l Board resulted:-]). Collis, 299; M. A. Moody 233; C. Voss, 157. POHANGINA COUNTY. There was only one. election in the Pohangina County for the Umutoi riding. The candidates were Messrs A. Brooking and A. I). Cawood. The former was elected, polling 87 votes, and the. latter 40,. The other councillors are: —Awahou ridinjr: R. Port; Mangaono riding, N. T. Beetham ; Pohangina riding, 11. W. Smart; Coal (.'reek riding, S. Straehan ; Tainaki riding, V. G. 11.' One election only took place in the Wood-' villo County, for lh.fi Mafiarahara. riding. There, were three candidates for two seats, and the result was: J. Gildea, 70; R. Gallowav, 66; J Cullinane, 24. KIWITEA COUNTY. The election of two members of the Kiwitea County to the Palmerston Hospital Board resulted:—J.- J. Bryce 261, A. E Pca'rcc 234 (elected), P. Mclntyre 201. Messrs Peareo and Mclntyre wore the sitting members. Only two riding- elections were necessary, as tho other sitting members were elected unopposed. These resulted : Cheltenham : B. H. McLean 74 .(elected!, W. L. Brico 26. Peep 0' Dav: A. P. Francis 65 (elected).,J. McNeil 30.
