CRICKET.
The annual mooting of the Manawatu Orioket' 4 Association was held on Thursday evening in the Technical School. Iho following; were present: —Messrs Proud (in the chair), Miers (Railway Club, Podding), McLachlan (H. 5.0.8.), Megan n (Telegraph Gallery), Catterick (Technical School), ( Anderson (High School), and Lnc.-Corpl. Wood (Awapuni Camp). Tlie election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr J. A. Nash; president, Mr S., Greer; vice-presidents, Major Guides. Messrs A. M. Ongley, 11. Akers, 0. Louisson, J. E. Vernon, F. D. Opie, T. R. Rodder, N. Mackenzie Forbes, Cnpt. W. Mitchell.: chairman of committee, Mr J. R. Proud; vice-chairman, Mr Miers; secretary and treasurer. Mr W. P. Anderson (High School). . . . It was decided, circumstances permitting, to commence the season on Saturday, Octo|>er -20 th. The clubs were graded, and the fixtures drawn for the first round, as follows : SENIOR GRADE. October 20th; Park v. Awapuni Camp, at Fcikling; High School v. H. 5.0.8., Sportsground. October 27th : High School v. Parle; Awa. pnni Camp v. H. 5.0.8. November 3rd: High School v. Awapuni Camp; H. 5.0.8. v. Park. JUNIOR GRADE. October 20th: Technical v. Telegraph, Sportsground; High School A v. High School D, S[)ortsground. October 27th: 'i'eclmical v. High School A ; Telegraph v. High School B. November 3rd: Telegraph v. High School A; Technical v. High School 11.
