HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.
ADJOURNED ANNUAL MEETING
The adjourned annual meeting of the High School Board of Governors was held yesterday afternoon. Present— Messrs W. F.* Durward, J. L. Barnicoat. T. R. Hodder, G. Hirsch, A E. Bennett. ,1. A. Nash. W. H. Collingwood and W. Stubbs.
The secretary, Mr Hunter, took the chair during the election of chairman. Mr T. 11. Hodder was elected to the position, and in thanking the Board lor hie election, Mr Hodder said he felt reluctant to take .up the position, but appreciated the action of the members. He had a warm spot in his heart for the High School, and it was his desire to do a 6 much for the institution as he could during his chairmanship. His predecessors. Messrs Rutherford and Coilingwood, had been exceedingly able men. and lie only wished he could*do as much for the school as they had done.
Mr Hirsch was re-elected treasurer; Messrs Barnicoat (convenor), Cofiingwood, Bennett and Stubbs, grounds committee ; Messrs Hodder, Rutherfurd, Hirech and Nash, committee; and the whole of the Board, a Technical School committee and elocutionary competitions committee.
