TOM MANN'S VISIT. (Bi Electbic Telegbaph—Coptbight.) (Peb Pbess Association.) LONDON, March 3. Mr George Lansbury states that other prominent Labour leaders are following Mr Tom Mann to Africa to carry on the deported leaders' work and to test whether Englishmen are allowed to live in a British colony. The Daily Mail states that the Women s Suffrage Society is financing the Labourites' visit to South Africa. Various women's organisations are preparing a reception to the deported labour leaders' wives. I
Ihe deadlock in the building trade continues. The men have lost £200,000 in wages and the trade unions large sums tor lock-out pay. LABOUR LEGISLATION RECOMMENDED. Received March 5, 9.30 a.m CAPETOWN, March 4. Ihe Oapman Commission, set up in September last, recommends the apiwintment of a commissioner to administer industrial legislation, also conciliation boards, the voluntary registration of trade unions, regulations of shop hours and a Factories Act.
