THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS
ALONE IN A GALE
(Br Elbctbio Telbobaph—Coptbight.) (Peb Peisb Association.) LONDON, Nov. 18. The tug Mana. (the crew of which left her in a storm about a week ago, and reported that, the captain was still aboard) has been picked up in the Channel. The captain blames the crew for aban* don'ing him. Ho says the crow was employed clearing the steering gear, and he realised that ho was alone only when the l>oat containing the crow was two hundred yards astern. He sighted three, steamers, but his signals were not seen or else were not heeded. He was sleepless for three tlays and nights, and was also without water. He had only nine biscuits.
