CROSS ATLANTIC FLIGHT.
(Independent Cable Association.) . LONDON, May 12. Half a dozen American airmen anlounce their intention of trying to ross the Atlantic in the summer. Mctfoe, of Rhode Island, will start rom Newport in July in a water-plane quipped with a quadruple machine. He •'ill make first for tho Newfoundland oast, and will thou strike out for the oast of Ireland. Vessels will be stationed on his route cross the Atlantic 400 miles apart. , hey will be equippcel with \v ; re:,s>, i-o hat he will he in touch with them all he time. He will also be able to roicw his stores of gasoline and obtain ood from them.
