UNRESERVED CLEARING SALE ATI KOMAKO. \
Special attrition is drawn to unreserved clearing sale being held at Mr B. G. Eglinton's homestead, Komako, on Wednesday, 19th instant, when the offering comprised some 2550 sheep, 120 head cattle, horses, farm sundries, and a small quantity of household furniture. The various lines of ewes and lambs are of exceptionally good quality, be:.:g all well bred of tne strong-woolled type. AUCTION SALES. Entries for the Palmerston Nortli annual sheep fair, which is to be held on Thursday. February 27th, aro coming in freely, and particulars of some of the lines to be offered will be found in an advertisement on page 8 of to-day's issue. An important sale of flock Romnoy Marsh shetp and Hereford cattle will bu> held on account of Mr Ernest Short, at the Feilding saleyards on Tuesday, February 25th, at 11.30 a.m. The sale will be conducted by Dalgety and Co, Ltd., and Gorton and Son, Ltd. Full particulars of the stock to be offered will be found in tho advertisement. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. advertise particulars elsewhere of a clearing sale, on account of Mr William Howie, of Hunterville. The sale will commence at 12 o'clock, and trains will be met by special coaches to convey intending buyers to the sale. On February 25th, 1913, Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. will hold their Pahiatua sheep fair on account of a number of their clients. Full particulars appear on page 8. Particulars of a stock sale to be held at Waituna, by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd., and Reduced, are advertised in this issue. LONDON MARKETS. Mellsop, Eliott and Co., agents for Gilbert Anderson and Co., report, under date January 3, 1913: Home-bred and Dutch mutton and lamb in very moderate supply and fetch high prices, thus creating a good demand for the best New Zealand. Australian lambs continue to arrive poor in quality and are weaker in price. The shipments -ulvised to date for December froth Australia. New Zealand and River Plate show an increase of 20.000 sheep and 6000 lambs over last year. The high prices ruling prevent, good business being done.
