THE SHORTAGE OF LABOUR.

Before the Shortage of Labour Commission, Cooto, a- manufacturing jeweller, stated that he had turned down a thousand pounds worth of orders weekly owing to inability to obtain sufficient labour. He recently sent an order to England for forty men. Tfcie demand for engagement and wedding rings was very brisk at present.
