Won by two lengths. Time, 25.35 4-5. One Hundred > Yards Inter-Empire Swimming.—Hardwick (New South Wales) 1, Derbyshire 2/ Johnson' (Canada) 3. Time;,6o>3-5. . One Mile Swimming. Hodgson (Canada) U Battersby (United.;Kingdom)2. Won by thirty yards, Time, 25.27' 3-5. Champion's leg troubled him, and he soon grew tired. At the amateur athletic championship meeting nt Stamford Bridge tho half-mile flat race was won by Brauii, of Germany, by six yards, in 1.59 4-5. Wheatley (Victoria) was second, throe yards ahead of Brook (Canada), third.
