MANAWATU HUNT CLUB.
HUNT COMMITTEE,
Tho hunt committee of the Manawatu Hunt Club met' on Saturday at tho secretary's office, there being present:—Messrs S. R. Lancaster (chairman), B: McEwen,- M. McEwen, J. Donaldson, T. Shaw, L. Lumsden, I L. Buick and H. D. Buchanan, The Rangitikei Hunt Club wrote forwarding a list of the dates of their runs and also stating that their point-to-point steeplechase ' a.n|d hall had been put back to the original dates. It was decided to hold meets in the Kiwitca district on July 10th, 11th and 12th.
The New Zealand Hunts' Association wrote stating that tho annual meeting would be held on July 18th. Mr Wynn Brown, Master of the Cambridge Hunt Club, wrote in reference to the hound forwarded through; Mr D. Bennett, and also promising' tAvo more hounds.—lt was docided to thank Mr Brown for his generosity. The following new members were elected:—Messrs E. Brown (Waikanae), S. Birchley (Palmerston), and J. Grant (Carterton). The action of Messrs Buick and McEwen in appointing Mr D. Bennett huntsman for the remainder of the season was confirmed.
The eecrctary was instructed to call for applications for the care of the hounds during the off season.
The steeplechase committee also met and transacted a quantity of routine business.
