HOSPITALS CONFERENCE.
CONCLUDING RESOLUTIONS.. (Peb Vw.hh Association.) WELLINGTON, June 30. The following resolution was unanimously adopted by tlio Hospitals Conference to-day in respect of Dr. Valintine's echoiuclaid before! tho conforencp yesterday, for the medical inspection of school children:. "Tint this conference considers it advisable that some such scheme as that outlined by Dr. Valintino should be adopted for medical inspection of school children." Other resolutions wore adopted as under:— . ."That it is desirablo that a "Radium Institute bo'established in some suitable placo in the Dominion for treatment: of cancer and kindred diseases.".. ~'.;■ ,v ■ "That, ihe law bo altered,-, so.,.tKaj; country districts can elect; re.p'resenta-, tives to th& Board so long as thq%olocfio<]' are qualified by residence in any part of tho hospital district;" 1 / r '". i - r- •; "That tho services of assistants in' hospi, tal dispensaries in the four centros be counted as qualifications for obtaining their coriiicates as chemists." . _ '"That four skilled .bacteriologists be appointed,^one at each of the chief hospitals of tho'.
