At the Crewe sports meeting the 100 yards scratch \m won by Opio (Canterbury), with Stewart (Tasmania) second. The race was won by inches in 10 l-ssecs. Opio was a. non-starter in tho 300 yards, and Guy Haskins was absent. _ In the Kent tennis championship Wilding beat Ritchie, 6-0, 6-0, 6-3 Ritchie and Garrett beat Dixon and Prebblo, 7-5, 6—3. 6-4. Doust and Mrs Chambers beat Thomas and Miss Coles, 6-I,^-2. In the Thames 880 yards swimming Champion (Auckland) won by thirty vards. Findlay was second and biles third.
