WOMAN'S TRAGIC ERROR. (Peb Press Association/! WELLINGTON, May 7. The police received intimation this afternoon that Elizabeth McGinnity, a widow aged 66 years, residing at Karon, look poison in mistake for cough mixture and died before the doctor, arrived. SHOOTING ACCIDENT. "tAIHAPE, May 8 While lifting a gun through a wire fence yesterday William Paradme, a roadman, residing near Rangatau, lad his right forearm shattered. It is supposed the hammer caught in the wire. Fortunately Dr. Boyd was near at hand, and rendered first aid. He sent the sufferer into the town. He is progressing satisfactorily. If the arm is saved there is little hope of the hand being used again. ANOTHER SHOOTING ACCIDENT. DANNEVIRKE, May 8. At the inquest on the body of Albert Sowerby, killed by a gunshot wound yesterday, the jury returned a 'verdict of aecidental death, no blame being attachable to anyone.
