ESTATE OF MRS. R, PEATTIE. ■The--first ..meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Mrs Eachael Peattie, fish shop proprietress, of Palmerston, was convened for yesterday afternoon, but 110, creditors put in an appearance. For the.:first 12:• to■ 18 months I was always able to pay my way,- as th.e business more or less flourished.. After about 18■■ months business gradually ■ bogan to go slack, and (iid not improve as time went on. During May, 1910, I removal .into., the shop where I was when' T became bankrupt. In this shop I. carried on a lisif supper room trade, but found this' business to be no better'.than the confectionery. I have a husband and an aged mother, both. dependent on me. My .'husband is ail invalid ■ and cannot work. My mother is too. old to work. 1. have done my-best .for the creditors and worked night and day in the endeavours to pay tlieni.
