LONDON QUOTATIONS. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 22nd. instant; Tallow.—Wc_ quote present spot values for tho following descriptions:—Good mutton £1 15s 6d per cwt, good beef £1 15s 3d per cwt, mixed £1 13s Gd; market quiet. Wheat— We quote 34s l|d c.i.f. Australian cargo. Very little demand. Outlook discoursing. . STOCK MARKETS, ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS, LTD. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Fcilding sheep fair, held at •Fcilding on Friday, as follows:—We had a heavy yarding cf sheep, and have to report a most successful sale. There was a_ good attendance of outside buyers, and bidding throughout the sale was keen. The demand for young sheep was especially good. We quote as follows:—Twotooth ewes 14s scl, 14s 6d. 15s 6d, 15s 8d to 16s 6d, small do. 8s lOd to 10r. lid, 6-tcoth ewes 12s 6d to 12a lOel, mixed age ewes .9s 7cl, 10s to lis Id, f.m, ewej.lOs, 10s 9d to 10.-: lOd, cull aged ewes 4s. 4s 6d. 5s to 5s Id. shorn lambs (small) 4s 9d, v ss 6d to k 7d. WILLIAMS AND KETTLE, LTD. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report on their sales held during the week as fol-lows:-On Monday, 20th, we held our Woodvillo sale, when we offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were hard to sell, and most of our entries was passed in. We quote:-Forward shorn lambs 7s 3d, fat heifers £4 6s, fat cows £4, £4 4s, to £5; bulls £3 lis, £3 18s, At Weber, on Tuesday, we had a good yarding of sheep and have to report a clearance with the exception of one small pen. Prices wore:—4-tooth wethers 12s 4d, 2-tooth wethers 9s 6d, 2tooth ewes lis 6d, 4 and 6-tooth ewes (small) 9s 3d,2-tooth to f.f.im ewes (small) 9s,s.m. owes 6s 8d to 7s 9d.
At Makotuku, on Wednesday, our entry consisted of horses, when we offered on account of Messrs Beddingliold Bros. 23 horses. The hack's and light horses were good sorts, but we found it hard to quit many, Prices:— Unbroken 3-year-old £B, 5-year-old gig mare and foal £6, 6-year-old gig maro £9, spring-cart filly £l6 10s, shatter £l6, leader £lO. At Danneyirke, on Friday, we offered a heavy yarding of sheep, but only a few cattle came forward. Wo have to, report a total clearance of both sheep and cattle at satisfactory prices. A nice line of 5-year-old ewes from Oringi made 12s 6d, other prices were, s.m. ewes 8s to 4s 6d, 4-tooth to f.f.m. ewes 10s Id to 9s lid, mixed shorn lamb's 2s 3d, woolly lambs 5s 6d, i. and f. shorn lambs Bs' Gd, fat ewes 10s 3d, 15-month heifers £2 15s, 15-month steers £3 14s, weaners 20s.
