The Masterton Court returns for the first six months of the year 1909 (under license) and the first six months of the year 1910 (under no license) show a marked decrease. The figures for 1909 and 1910 respectively are: —Drunkenness, 137 and 23; common assault, 20 and nil ; theft, 18 and nil; housebreaking,. 6 and nil; resisting thp police, 8 and nil; failing to support wives or relatives, 9 and 5; no visible means of support, 9 and' 1; obscene language, 8 and 2; sly-grog selling, nil and 6;, bringing liquor into a no-license area, nil and 14. ,v NAPIEA, June 30. A decree nisi was granted in the divorce suit Minnie Brock v. Henry Brock (misconduct). ' *
