Mr Robinson, Agent-General, replying to a toast, said it r was impossible for Queensland to forget that she had received King Edward's last message. There could be no greater evidence of his devotion to public cEity. The present year was likely to be a record as emigration to Queensland. During sixmonths the Queensland office had despatched 3515 emigrants, and already 700 were booked for July, and 500 for August. The class and character of the emigrants was improving, and those who had sailed in the present year had remitted £28,800 sterling.
