ITS AMENDMENT SUPPORTED.
(By Electbio Telegbaph—Coptbiqet.) (Peb Phesb Association.) LONDON,.June 29. In the House of Commons the Accession Declaration Bill was debated. Mr Aequith said he was not permitted to say anything about the present Sovereign, but King Edward had found it a most repugnant duty to sign the oath uttering an absolute formula directed against many loyal subjects. Mr Asquith believed the declaration might safely be dispensed with altogether. „ ~ x Mr Balfour was favourable to _tne suggestion. . , . "'•Mr Redmond characterised, the Joill as an act of tardy justice to millions of the King's subjects. The motion to read the Bill for a first time was carried by 383 to 42, the minority including the Ulster Unionists and eeveral Cornish members.
