SPORTING.
Onlookers at Awapuni this morningwere treated to an excellent exhibition of jumping when Prospector and Defeat at a fast pace were put over the brush, hen coop, hurdles, and, double in front of the stand. Both horses fenced beautifully, and it is quite apparent each, is coming back fast to its best form. C. O'Neill rode Prospector and .J. McLean was up on Defeat. . ■ • A reminder is given that acceptances for the Otaki meeting close with the secretary at 8.30 on Monday night.
