ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

A man named McLaughlin, working at the gravel pit on the Westport-Inanga-, hua railway, had a very narrow escape from a serious accident recently. Hβ was working at the faoo when a fall occurred and threw him under the wagon, very nearly burying him. His mates immediately got him out of danger, and shortly afterwards he was able to le-avo for his homo.
