(Peb Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 27. Edward Esserman, aged 50 years, was found dead in bed last night in a city boarding house. Henry Smith, engineer, Lyttelton, died suddenly, last night. FATAL GUN WOUND. John Russell, who was admitted to Wellington hospital on Sunday afternoon suffering from an accidental gun-shot wound sustained at Makara that day', died at the institution on Thursday afternoon. _ Deceased 'was a butcher by trade, reeiding at Northland. He was shooting at Makara with his brother-in-law, Mr Moran, when the latter slipped. The gun he was carrying went off. and the charge lodged in Russell's body above one of his hips. ,
