RAUMAI.

The Pohangina Defence Rifls Club held their annual ball in the Raumai Hall on Tuesday evening, and the gathering proved a brilliant success. Ino ■Grand March looked very pretty, the costly dresses worn by the ladies adding to it considerably. The dancing was most enjoyable, and everything wentott without a" hitch. Excellent music was supplied by Mr J. Small (piano) and Mr Pickering (cornet). Mr Lynch discharged the duties of M.C. The catering was in the hands of Mr A. Trass, and gavo every satisfaction. Extras were played by Mrs Wheeler and Miss Wlicclei*.. The committee are to be congratulated on the success achieved. They were ably assisted by the energetic secretary, Mr H. Fitzsimmons.
