BIG MARITIME STRIKE.
MARSEILLES TIED UP. (By Eleothio Telegraph—Copyright. , * (Per rp.Ess association.) PARIS, April 5. Naval reservists at Marseilles declared a twenty-four hours' strike as a, protest against "the prosecution of a dozen dosorters* The. authorities declined to bo intimidated, and the reservists thereupon decided' that ships should not leave Marseilles until their demands were satisfied The crows of all vessels came ashore, and 600.000 tons of cargo and the outward mails are now detained on the wharves and ships. The Meseageries Maritimes Company has applied for blucjackcte to complete the crows of its mail steamers. The reservists have appealed to other ports to join in the strike. Recent strikes at Marseilles have involved losses totalling £4,000,000.
