EVENTS WORTH NOTING.

Railway Department advertise train arrangements for Feilding races. Notices under the Licensing Act are inserted by D. Moynihan and W. Grau. Applications invited for position of secretary and steward at Palmerston Hospital. Woodville Bacon Co., Ltd., advertise trucking stations for pigs and dates for receiving same. Mr Mitchell, Feilding, is the buver.

A. Millar, bookseller, stationer and importer of cricket, hockey and golf materials, is at present making a special display of cricket and hockey goods in his windows, one of which has been dressed to represent the cricket match, Australia v. Manawatu. I'ho window has attracted considerable attention during the week, and those who have not yet seen jit ought to take the earliest opportunity of doing so.

First-olass music is a great factor in promoting enjoyment at dances, but it is not always possible to secure the services of capable instrumentalists. There is no finer band in the district than Chas. Pickering's orchestra, which is now available for balls and similar gatherings. Terms, £1 per man locally. The Dominion Cycle Co. insert notices on page 1 to the effect that they have a splendid lot of second-hand cycles for sale. These are a good lot, having been thoroughly overhauled, enamelled and guaranteed in perfect order. The Dominion Cycle Co. are agents for New Zealand for the Dominion Girder frame cycle, which is the latest model machine.
