HASTINGS, March 17. The thirteen-roomed house owned and occupied by Mrs E. Bamforth was totally destroyed yesterday afternoon by fire. The cause is unknown. Mrs Bamforth was absent in Wellington, and the remainder of the family were away at the time of the outbreak. A quantity of furniture was saved. The insurance on the building was £250 in the National, and on the furniture £200 in the Alliance.
