HOSPITAL BOARDS.
LADIES ELECTED. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCII, March 16. The election of seven persons to represent the city on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards resulted in three ladies—Mesdamcs Cunnington, Wilson, and Ensom—and Mes'srs Allison, Tanner, Rev. Gloss and Gapes being elected. Messrs Allison and Gapes were tjie only members re-elected. WELLINGTON, March 16. The election of fourteen representatives of the combined Wellington districts on the new Hospital and Charitable Aid Board took place to-day. There were 23 candidates, and the following were elected:-J. G. W. Aitken 1669, Rev. Van Stavern 1617, Miss Richmond 1547, R. C. E?!rk 1486, J. Smith 1484, Rev. W. A. Evans 1331, J. Robertson 1323, J. Godber 1321, J. J. Dovine 1289 D. McLaren, M.P., 1262. J. Trevor 1227, A. H. Hindmarsh 1137, G. London 1098, J. E. Fitzgerald 1079. DANNEVIRKE, March 16. The election of two representatives of the Hospital Board to represent the Borough of Dannevirke resulted as follows:—Wratt 346, Bickford 334, Ries 217 NELSON, March 16. The Hospital and Charitable Aid election was hold to-day. Messrs Field and Lock and Mesdames Fell and Watson were clcctcd to represent the contributing district of Nelson and Richmond. Very little interest was taken, between 600 and 700 out of 3671 voting.
