CUP WON BY SAYONARA. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright./ (Per Press Association.) MELBOURNE, March 14. Sayonara won the third inter-State yacht race for the Sayonara Cup pre-

sented by her owner for races between champions of New South Wales and Victoria. She beat Mr Marks' Culwalla 111. Received March 15, 9.10 a.m. MELBOURNE, March 15. The course was ten miles to the windward and back. The wind was smart with a light sea. The, Sayonara took the lead almost from the start, steadily widening the gap separating the contestants, and rounded the buoy 7 minutes 40 seconds ahead of the Cuhvalla. The home journey was made with a fresh wind astern, the Sayonara finishing 13 minutes 12 seconds to the good. This is a minute and a-half more than the extreme time allowance she could be asked to give the Cuhvalla.
