STOCK REPORTS

Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, report: —At our Raumai sale, held on Tuesday, Bth inst., we have to report, as follows: —A good yarding of all classes of stock came forward. Cattle sold up to late market rates. The bulk of the sheep entry consisted of aged ewes, with the result that prices were slightly easier. However, with the exception of a few pens we quitted the whole of our yarding at the following prices:—Sheep. —Small lambs to 4s 3d, wither lambs 6s 10d to 6s lid, cull ewes 5s 6d, 4 and syr ewes 7s 4d, Bs. 9s 3d to 9s 4d. 2-tooth ewes 12s to 12s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 10s Bd. Cattle.—Mixed wcaners 16s to 21s, wcaner heifers to 28s, 15-months steers £2 7s 6d. £2 15s to £2 15s 6d, 2yr steers £3 7s 6d to £3 Bs, 3yr steers to £4 10s, cows and calves £2 5s to £2 10s, empty cows £2 to £2 12s 6d. fat cows £3 7s 6d to £3 13s. £4 2s 6d to £5. cows in calf £2 ss, £2 14s to £3 7s 6d, dairy cows £4 7s 6d, £5 to £7 2s 6d. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report on their JoEnsonviile sale as follows: — We offered a heavy yarding of fine builocks and sheep, which sold at late rates. We quote:—Best bullocks £8 5s to £8 12s 6d, lighter £8 to £3 2s 6d (equal to 20« per lOCIb), sound heavy wethers 14s 6d to 14s lid, prime wethers 14s Id. prime ewes 12s sd. medium ewos 11s 6d to 11s 9d. lambs 9s 3d to 9s 9d, woolly 10s 6d to 11s 6d.

Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. report on their Pahiatua F.A sale of Bth inst. as follows:—Wo had a heavy yarding jf both sheep and cattle. Sheep were dull of sale, but most classes of cattle met fair competition. Quotations: —Two and 4tooth ewes 12s 3d to 12s 9d. sound mouth ewes 9s 6d to 10s. aged ewes 3s to 6e. forward wethers 11s 4d. small 2-tooths 9s 9d, good rape lambs 7s 9d to 8s lid. good do. 5s 7d to 6s 9d, email do. 3s 6d to ss, Lincoln rams lygn.s to ljgne, 2tooth Romney rams £5 ss. aged do. 1 to ligns. Ltd.. report on their Hiintorville salo as follows: — We had a good yarding of sheep but few cattle. The, demand for sheep was not as brisk as of late, but we manged to quit most of the yarding at prices eatisfactory to vendors. Cattle sold at late rates.
